CNA stands for Certified Nursing Assistant. CNA's perform basic procedures of care for patients in a healthcare setting.

What is an OASIS Family CNA...

An OASIS Family CNA is a loved one who works with the child directly at home. The OASIS Family CNA is a loving, caring, and special person in the child's life that helps them become all they can be!

How Can I Become An OASIS Family CNA...

To become an OASIS Family CNA, you must receive eligibility as determined by Colorado Medicaid Standards. This may sound intimidating, but trust us, it's not. And - don't worry, we're here to help!

Position Qualifications

  • Be at least 16 years of age

  • Child must be eligible for Colorado's Medicaid Program

  • Child must qualify for CNA services (determined after assessment using the Pediatric Assessment Tool (PAT).

  • Be available for a RN supervisory visit EVERY 14 days

  • Have a Diploma or GED (classes are offered at AIMS to receive
    GED.)

  • Ability to read, write and speak English. A few classes are offered in Spanish through AIMS, but parents need to read and write English. (English classes are offered at AIMS)

  • Proof of citizenship or legal residency

  • Proof of Tuberculosis (TB): Negative skin or blood TB test.

  • Influenza Immunization (flu Shot)

  • Proof of COVID vaccination or Religious/Medical Exemption form

  • Driver license/ state issued ID/ Passport

  • Current CPR certification (school will help with this)

  • After certification is then licensed through DORA

  • Completes training and competency evaluation that meets state guidelines

  • Hired by OASIS as an employee with a signed offer letter
